![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Strategies to mitigate Denial of Fortitude include using Dodge chance, Block, and Stealth tokens. This does not include the healing received via positive affinity or previously applied Regen. When this ability has been used, none of the Heroes can recover HP using Abilities or Items. The Padlock of Wasting has an ability called Denial of Fortitude. The key ability of each lock is described below, and the locks are ordered from highest to lowest priority for most parties. Most parties will be more severely impacted by certain denials over others - burst down the lock that you feel hurts your team the most (more on how to choose below). Each lock will disable a class of items and abilities which can hamstring your party until the effect is switched out for another. The real difference between the locks is in their denial abilities. The locks all share similar attacks - one that distributes stress and damage between two heroes, and a single target attack. This is in addition to the effect of lower Loathing modifiers such as the 33% chance for the enemies to have an advantage when combat begins. The Flame is automatically decreased by 10.The Locks will have a 10% increase in Health.A symbol on the Loathing counter indicates this is called The Blessing of The Brain. There's no reason not to face your Failures.If the player enters The Mountain with full Loathing, the Boss (in this case all four locks) will gain several benefits, and the Heroes will be afflicted with debuffs. Each chapter has a different Confession with different Final Bosses and the mountain growing gradually more corrupt until it becomes the absolute Temple of Evil.
